Hanmade baby bibs

Have you seen my baby bibs here?
I have made lots of baby bibs as presents in the past. They are so simple to make and just cute and perfect for gifts.
On eof my American friends found the cutest 'english' fabic and asked if I would make some bibs to give to her American friends as gifts for their new baby.
So I thought I would share them with you as I think they came out so well.

I made four different bibs. 2 were stripes and 2 were patches.

 I hope you like them!

Hello Sunshine!

This week we have had amazing weather which is unusual for us.
So I thought I would take photos for what we have done!
Including lots of playing in the garden, with water, slide, toys and eating our meals on the deck, a BBQ, hanging our washing out to dry, trip with some friends including a play in the tree house, some lovely flowers, our sunflowers growing well, strawberries growing and gooseberries growing, flip flips and barefeet and more picnics and walks.

What have you been doing in the sunshine?

Inspirations: Journals & scrapbooks

I love sewing and making things that can be used, but I also like paper and scrapbooking to keep my pictures safe and looking pretty.
I have recently been looking at various ways of keeping your memories in an album/ journal and why not make your own, so here are a few ideas of how to make them, whether you use them as a notebook or to keep your photos, I hope you get inspired to make one of your own.

 Have a good Friday!

Hanmade fabric cards

I love this quick and easy card making idea using small scrap fabrics.
I found it on Pinterest and put it on my Friday Favourites last week, go here.
So I thought I would try it out.

Some of my scrap fabric, choose a few complementing pieces.
With a small card fold in half and roughly measure the size of fabric you need to make stripes over the front of the card.
Put them over the top of the card.
Sew shapes and lines over the top. You could just sew a border or various shapes. Have fun trying new shapes out.

This is what the back looks like.
Trim the fabric edges from the card.
 Tada!
Have fun and keep going! Make lots! Or even cover a notebook.
