Kirstie's Crafted Card

When I was watching Kirstie's Homemade Bristian, I enjoyed seeing this, Janet Haigh had made an embroided card, using cut out paper and with one line of thread stitched onto it. I think it looks really affective.
Here is an example of her work
I think I might have to give it a try!

Patches for projects

We know lots of people who are having babies at the moment. So I have given myself s few projects so make for them. I have made lots of different patches from different fabrics, some patchwork and some sewn onto. They will be made into different things, photos to follow at a later date.
Here are some examples of the patches I have made so far.

Making Scrap Books

I love these envelope books: http://www.making-mini-scrapbooks.com/envelopebook.html
Also Ashely Connelly on her blog: http://thecreativeplace.blogspot.com/ makes lots of crafty things, including this fabric and paper book:

After looking at these I decided to make my own.
Heres what I came up with

My first time

So I admit I have never done this before, but love looking at all things crafty, so I feel that I should admit to the reason I want to start 'blogging'. I want somewhere to show some of the things I like, other peoples ideas and designs, but also show what I have made.
So here it goes....
I made some wallpaper sweety containers for a baby shower I recently went to. Sewn top and bottom.
