Hanmade nappy pouch

I love this idea, from Sew, Mama, Sew! How to make a nappy pouch. Its so simple and easy and a great baby shower present, or in my case I kept it for my daughters nappy bag!
I added a pocket on the inside.

Equipment:
2 pieces of fabric
velcro
sewing machine
scissors
pins
thread
tape measure

Cut your two pieces of fabric to the same size. I got the wipes and nappies and measured around them.
I wanted a pocket on the inside too, cut out the size of pocket you want.
Sew the top of the pocket so that the edge is folded over and looks neat.

Turn the two big pieces of fabric pattern sides together and pin.
Sew together, leaving a small part, roughly 10cm not sewn ( you will sew this later) Turn it inside out.
 Pin the velcro in place.

 Sew the velcro in place.
Iron all the edges amking them nice and crisp. You will still have an opening that you didn't sew earlier. iron it so its easier to sew into place.
 Sew the opnening.
 tada!
I am really pleased with this sewing project and I will definetly be making some more in the future!

New scrapbook paper

I got quite excited when I was out today when I stumbled upon an art shop with lots of craft supplies. There aren't very many craft shops around here and I like buying craft things in a shop rather than online.
So I bought some scrapbook backgrounds.

I particuarly like this one

I thought this was a good page to cut each of the individual parts out.

Watch this space for some of my newest scrapbook pages.

Love heart garland

Its almost Valentines day... but not just because of that, but just because I wanted to. I have made a paper heart garland to hang up in my home. I made two to go either side of out really big mirror.
I used pink, red and cream coloured paper and card and also maps and pages from a book. Using different sizes and shape hearts I machine stitched lengths.

Hanmade toddler skirt

I have finally got round to making my daughter a winter skirt to go with a cardigan her granny knitted her. I had the perfect cord fabric to go with the cardigan, so I made a pattern. I used this tutorial and changed it abit. It has an elasticband waist, nice and simple and I added more fabric so it wasn't a pencil skirt!

Now I have the right measurements and pattern (for now until she grows abit more) I am hoping to make another.
